Car: 

• Rental ($) – There are numerous car rental agencies available at the O’Hare Airport including Avis, Enterprise, and Hertz. Rental car agencies can be found at the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF) at the O’Hare airport. To reach this facility, the free Airport Transit System above-ground train can be boarded from any Terminal by following signs for Airport Transit System, ATS, or Rental Cars. • Rideshare apps (Uber or Lyft) ($) – Available pick-up from Terminal 2 or Terminal 3 in the Departures area (upper level) with pickup poles marked with orange signage labeled 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 3G, 3H, 3J and 3K to designate pickup zones. If ordering an Uber Black or SUV, pick-up will be in the Arrivals area (lower level) after following signs for Baggage Claim. More information can be found here:

• Taxi ($) – Available taxis are found waiting in the Arrivals area (lower level) outside of Baggage Claim. For your protection, do not accept rides from drivers outside the cab stand or on the departure level (upper level) of the terminal roadways. Cost of taxis may vary depending on traffic conditions but an estimated price for a taxi to the conference venue is $9 USD. More information can be found here:

Bus/Shuttle 

• Crowne Plaza Airport Shuttle (free) – A complimentary airport shuttle service is available between O’Hare and the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Pickup for the shuttle is available at the Terminal 2 Arrivals area (upper level). For information on the current shuttle location call 847-671-6350 or track the shuttle using the link below:

• PACE/CTA Bus ($) – There are multiple bus routes available from the Multi-Modal Facility (MMF; see instructions for traveling to the MMF above) but the most direct route is on the 330 bus going South to Archer/Harlem that leaves every 30 minutes from the MMF at Bay #8. After getting on the bus, ride for 4 stops and get off at the Balmoral/Park Pl stop (1 block North of the Crowne Plaza). From here, walk 2 minutes South down N River Road until you arrive at the Crowne Plaza.
  • To ride the bus, fare must be paid using a Ventra card, the Ventra mobile phone app, a Ventra multi-day pass, or cash with exact fare. A Ventra card/pass vending machine may not be available at the MMF so use of the mobile app would be recommended. A standard one way fare using a Ventra Care is approximately $2 USD or if using cash is approximately $2.25 USD.

CTA Train (the ‘L’ train) ($) 

• Chicago’s major intra-city train service (the ‘L’) has a station for the Blue Line directly underneath the O’Hare Airport. From Terminals 1, 2, or 3. After collecting your bags from baggage claim (if applicable) follow signs for “CTA Trains” or “Trains to City.” This will lead you underground to the train station. From Terminal 5, take the free Airport Transit System (ATS) above-ground train to Terminal 2 then follow signs for “CTA Trains” or “Trains to City.” After boarding the Blue Line train, take the train 1 stop and exit at the Rosemont stop. Use the underground escalator to exit the train station. From here, you may board the 330 PACE bus (must pay an additional fee via cash or Ventra card/app) bound for Archer/Harlem for a short 1 minute bus ride 2 stops before exiting at the River/Williams stop, which is 1 block north of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Alternatively, you may walk 17 minutes from the train to the hotel via: exiting the CTA parking lot by walking Northeast to reach N River Rd. Follow N River Rd South for 0.6 miles until reaching the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
  • To ride the train, fare must be paid using a Ventra card, the Ventra mobile phone app, or Ventra multi-day pass. A Ventra card/pass vending machine is available at the airport underground Blue Line train station, just prior to boarding the train. A standard one way fare is approximately $2.50 USD.

Buses leave from the Midway Transportation Center (also where the CTA Trains leave from) which can be found after Baggage Claim by following signs for “CTA Trains” or “Trains to City” through an enclosed walkway through the Center. 
  • To ride the bus, fare must be paid using a Ventra card, the Ventra mobile phone app, a Ventra multi-day pass, or cash with exact fare. A Ventra card/pass vending machine is available at the Midway Transportation Center. A standard one way fare using a Ventra Care is approximately $2 USD or if using cash is approximately $2.25 USD.

CTA Train (the ‘L’ train) ($) 

• Chicago’s major intra-city train service (the ‘L’) has a station for the Orange Line at the Midway Transportation Center adjacent to the Midway Airport. After collecting your bags from baggage claim (if applicable) follow signs for “CTA Trains” or “Trains to City.” This will lead you to the enclosed walkway leading to the Midway Transportation Center. To reach the Crowne Plaza Hotel, after boarding the Orange Line train, travel 12 stops and exit at the Clark/Lake stop. From here, you will be on a platform above street level. Exit the platform and follow signs for the Blue Line train which is 1 level underground below street level. Board the Blue Line train bound for O’Hare and travel 15 stops before exiting at the Rosemont stop. Use the underground escalator to exit the train station. From here, you may board the 330 PACE bus (must pay an additional fee via cash or Ventra card/app) bound for Archer/Harlem for a short 1 minute bus ride 2 stops before exiting at the River/Williams stop, which is 1 block north of the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
